# Fundraisers

Indie artists often can face the challenge of raising funds for an album production or concert hosting. To replace labels or records, there are various crowdfunding platforms that allow artists to raise funds. MeMusic aims to provide an alternative fundraising method for artists.

On our platform, artists can have various ways of raising funds through presale of the artist tokens or offer a NFT offering.

**Initial Artist (Artist Token) Offering**

On MeMusic, select artists can issue their artist tokens. Artist tokens can have a presale option during the genesis mint. Users and Artists can both have benefits by providing Artist Tokens as an initial offering as it does not require a special pledge to a particular track or a digital asset.

**Initial NFT Offering**

Artists can offer fractional/wholesale ownership of their masters or tracks on the NFT marketplace. A wholesale ownership of the NFT is a transfer of all rights such as distributions and licensing to the music from the creator to the purchaser. Fractional ownership can allow users to receive royalties collected from the particular music.
