# Token Utilities: $MMT

MeMusic's native token ($MMT) will have various potential uses within the platform. Through this white paper, we provide information on our primary token utilities.

## Artist / Brand Tokens

Artist Tokens is core to how MeMusic believes web3 could reshape the lives of artists, brands or labels. Our core philosophy with implementing blockchain/web3 into the music/audio industry is imposing a disruptive business model while not being intrusive. The current implementation of blockchain and cryptocurrencies (more specifically NFTs) are limited. Read more about artist/brand tokens [**here**](https://docs.memusic.io/memusic-token/creator-token).

The $MMT token is fundamental in artist/brand tokens. All artist/brand tokens are required to list on MeMusic's native DEX with locked liquidity against the $MMT tokens. Users wishing to purchase the artist/brand tokens will need $MMT.

## **Native NFT Marketplace**

Currently, users can mint NFTs from Stations with one-click onto Opensea. Later, users can mint NFTs directly onto MeMusic's NFT marketplace by using the native MeMusic token for less fees and furthermore customization.

## **Governance**

Users will be able to use the MeMusic Token to exercise voting rights through delegating voting power to the Station Nodes. Token holders to vote on community proposals or listing assets on the liquid market.

## **In-App Items (more details coming soon)**

Users will be able to use mint new NFTs/Items using the $MMT token.
