Blockchain & MeMusic
MeMusic started its journey as an aim to build a blockchain-based streaming application that does not add problems to the industry but rather focusing on solving the problems. Now, MeMusic aims to establish an ecosystem that can help reshape the value flow in the audio/music industry through traditional/tokenised services. We believe that AudioFi (Audio + Finance) is the next step towards building an improved market.
Blockchain & its impact on MeMusic
As we are to provide tokenised services for the users such as liquidity pools for music-backed loans or listen-to-earn and stream-to-earn on social audio, blockchain is crucial technological component. From initial conceptualization, MeMusic aimed for a multichain approach. We strive to leverage different, thriving blockchain technologies and communities to best establish the fundamentals needed for AudioFi. Below are few of the technologies we have implemented or preparing in the near future.
Filecoin

MeMusic participated in Outlier Ventures' initial Filecoin accelerator program back in 2021. We are commited in integrating Filecoin technology into the ecosystem. Not only are we to heavily rely on Filecoin for file storage, but also commited to leverage FVM [Filecoin Virtual Machine] to allow for token-gated content on Stations platform.
Ordinals

Bitcoin is undoubtedly the most important crypto asset in the market. With inscriptions and smart contracts for Bitcoin (i.e. via Stacks), the possibilities of mapping Bitcoin assets to fungible/non-fungible tokens started. MeMusic started exploring the possibilities of integrating Ordinals back in July 2023. We plan to fully implement Ordinals for Music-NFTs and much more.
Solana
Solana is one of the earlier blockchains that MeMusic has researched on to integrate into the services. With the blockchain boasting high throughput and low transaction fees, Solana is a favorable choice for blockchain enthusiasts wishing to delve into NFTs. Therefore, Solana will be part of the MeMusic's blockchain integration plans.
Arbitrum / Polygon / EVM
MeMusic currently has successfuly integrated EVM-based tokenized rewards on the Stations Application. As the application goes for a full release, users will be able to take part in their AudioFi journey through Listen-to-Earn and Stream-to-Earn. Start earning on your favorite EVM blockchain.
Sui
Having been accepted to Sui Move Accelerator Program back in May, 2023, MeMusic started exploring the possible integrations with Sui and MeMusic's ecosystem. We aim to provide tools for artists to mint their NFTs on the Sui Blockchain.
